Is it just me or are sacks at an alltime high. D-lines around league are just dominating the opposition it seems.
feels like it, and its prolly the trickle down effect of cbs getting away it with holding and jamming past the 5 yard line. no ones open=qb holds the ball longer->gets sacked

doesnt help that the gap between top pass pro olinemen and the rest is widening.

Lol, and so do I.

ironically enough, everyone is just swagger jackin the giants blueprint of stopping the pass by forming a dominant front four. if you look at the best defenses in the L (excluding frisco, their front four is good, but their defense as a whole is great), the seattles and zona's all get pressure on the qb w/o having to bring help on rushes. when you can do that and disguise coverages w/ the full compliment of a 2nd & 3rd level, qbs & their #'s will suffer. simple as that.

now, i believe the numbers are somewhat inflated by the dumb ass refs, but its no secret our last two superbowl teams have had below average lbs & secondaries

The Giants didn't create that.

This is exactly what I've seen. Plus these refs have been extremely sub par alone the line in throwing flags. Their allowing holding and clutching all along the line.

I watched Joe Flacco never get touched for a 4 quarter game again NE because the Pats stopped blitzing because the calls were getting so bad. Then, I swear on my life Flacco just started throwing balls up for grabs, like at least 4 in the 4th quarter alone where dude was doubled and he just lobbed it because A) He had all day while the Pats DB's were grabbing at anything underneath, and B) when he threw it up it was gonna generate some sort of questionable PI call.

These refs have changed the game man.
