The insurance companies are some of the most greediest and predatory business you will ever find and trump has already said he wants to eliminate the consumer financial protection agency CFPB that was set up after the 2008 financial crisis to protect consumers, he tried last time in his tenure but was unsuccessful but this time with full control of government and a partisan supreme court all bets are off. Politics trick down to every day life.

Eliminating the CFPB is NOT a good idea. At all.

$127 with Geico here. Gonna swap to State Farm again and see what my discount would be if I bundle it with my home insurance.

Y'all are both paying per month? Isn't that the most expensive option?
You save like 2% by paying the semi annual or annual premium. That doesn't even put a dent in the cost. It would save me like $100/yr, which is like $8/month

Everyone pretty much lives within walking distance to supermarkets, I have multiple around me, so I just take a walk

But if you want to shop at specific store, then I don’t see an issue taking a train or uber

but I get all my food around where I live
So wait I thought about this randomly today. So what do NYC cats do when it's snowing? Do ya'll just walk in the snow for groceries?

I don't crash cars so I don't always pay my insurance.

I've had 13 different cars and I drive every damn day, still never even had to slam on my breaks to avoid an accident.

My attention span is on 1000 when I'm behind the wheel and I don't care for anything else while I'm driving. The road has my full attention.

My personal car insurance increased to $1500 last month for three cars and one is liability only. My daughter is getting off of my policy because the car she primarily drives is $1100 :snoop:.
For 6 months?

I hear New York traffic is the worst in the country and the Taxi/Uber drivers be racist as hell.

How do you handle getting groceries? Do you just carry them on the train? Or maybe order off an app?
It can get bad, but I'm pretty sure Houston and LA traffic is worse. It might help that public transportation in NYC is probably the best in the country

Countries that design their cities for people and not cars don't have these problems.

A ngga can take a bus, streetcar, train, bicycle or just literally walk to a nearby store, clinic, or their job. I have a friend who lives in montreal the mf literally WALKS to his office 30 min away. If he's feeling lazy he gets on a bus and is there in half the time :wow:

Local politics matter. The people wanting to redesign the city won't seem so crazy when the insurance rates keep going up and ads start appearing on new cars will they?

Not everybody wants to live in the middle of city. Alot of us want yards to shoot basketball on our own rims and plant gardens.

Everybody can't work close to wear they live and people should have options. Montreal(Canada) sometimes can be a nanny state, where the govt has too much control and people are fooled becasue they act "nice" about it.

I dont know why people like to villify cars. They are an option and a much needed one. Waiting on the bus and trian in most cities is time consuming. I'm for good public transport, but I'm also for cars. You can have a happy medium.

Cars give people some independence. The pandemic showed me that the last thing I want is to have to depend on public transport and live in a major city.

Cuz ya'll drive crazy, especially on the lodge and Southfieled free way. A breh almost ran me over last year driving his turbo 90s Impala. Few years back, I saw a couple trying to smash on the Lodge at 12:00pm mid day, breh was driving 40mph at lodge and 39 and his big booty gf was trying to sit on his lap. If they had an accident there's no way to explain that :russ:

shyt is a complete racket. You pay ‘in case’ some shyt happen. “Now if shyt don’t happen, shouldn’t I get my money back?”

Go in the app and modify your coverage. Usually there’s some stuff in there you can take off and lower your rates.
