Sureeee We Work is the problem. . .

Think about this. . . What kind of system and financial infrastructure is at play here if ANY company can be "overvalued" by 10's of billions of dollars? . . . And that's all We Work's fault. Same article's were written about Facebook and a host of other companies.

Article's like these are only attempt to act as if the stock market is based on fundamentals. . . It's not. We Work is worth whatever lie investors are willing to believe. Once IPO's nothing else matters so long as their earning aren't astronomically lacking. It's all a con . . . But make money if you can.

It’s a overhyped landlord, don’t be stupid.

:yeshrug: I been saying all this SV shyt is smoke and mirrors feudalism that doesn't have an actual tangible product, in this case other than a bunch of hastily purchased and refurbished foreclosures.

All this shyt is just make believe that already wealthy people use to expand their own wealth and prestige through clever marketing and outright lies. The HBO comedy might as well have been a documentary.

Unless I'm missing something, he's basically scamming venture capitalists and stockholders. If you gonna hustle, might as well hustle at them. :yeshrug:

Hard for me to get up the energy for outrage on this one. Let the rich steal from the rich. All the MLM's out there which explicitly target desperate and needy people piss me off a LOT more.
They always pivot the scam and cushion it through retail investors and mutual funds that dump cash into these garbage startups.

Like everything else, working and middle class people are the ones left holding the bag when these things tumble.

It's not just vaporware.

Look at Uber, Uber doesn't have a model, Uber doesn't have a path to profitability, Uber is not a concrete concept or service provider. It's all make believe and people dumping obscene amounts of money into something that only offers a circumvention of labor laws that you could literally accomplish for far cheaper with a few tweaks and updates to any individual cities public transportation infrastructure. It's all lies, it's built on a lie, it has never intended to exist in any meaningful form other than to extract as much capital as possible for as many people as possible who run the thing until the wheels fall off.

Look at Juicero, that was a tangible good, it's just an absurdity. People in the valley live in a perpetual absurdity. While they ignore at best and perpetuate at worst some of the most grotesque inequalities in this country for their service workers and low level employees.
