What would have been the plan if Austin didn't get injured? I know they were planning a triple threat at Survivor Series, but they could have easily had it at WrestleMania.

And yeah, having Triple H face Rock one-on-one would have made a lot more sense, even if Triple H was booked to win. I believe Vince said that he felt bad that Mick Foley retired without getting his WrestleMania moment, so he convinced him to compete in the main event. I don't know what Big Show was doing there. :russ:

It's funny to me that as memorable and popular as the Attitude Era was, only one WrestleMania during that era is looked at as classic, and it was the one that ended the era (X-Seven).

To be real, I'm convinced that most of the events that had "2000" in it was doomed to be a failure. 2000 was such a odd year when it came down to entertainment especially involving the WWF. While they were booming financially, the shows were wild duds compared to the ones of 1999 and 98.

Especially WM 2000 which I remembered being so trash, I gave up on watching it. My uncle dubbed the show for me and everything, yet somehow I was so miserable with the show that I redubbed it with random movies and music videos.

I blame it on Trips mechanical bull looking ass:camby:

You don't consider WrestleMania 14 a classic?

Is it? I know that Austin winning the title is looked at as a historic event, but I don’t know if the rest of the card gets treated the same way.

It's just from top to bottom, X-Seven is the only WrestleMania from that era that consistently gets put in the GOAT category.

You have an argument compared to 98, but 2000 was way better than most of that ridiculous shyt in 99.

Eh I enjoyed the show, granted I was only 10 at the time and it was my first wrestlemania I had seen live. I really enjoyed the build up to the fatal four way match. I was disappointed though that triple h won.

So if I'm believing the Big Show rumour that had it in his contract that he was main eventing WrestleMania 2000, I think it was supposed to be Stone Cold vs. Big Show

Of course once Big Show debuted he wasn't getting over as much they probably wanted him so maybe they would've added The Rock and/or Triple H to load it up :manny:

2000 was a wild hot year but this was definitely an underwhelming mania. Off the top of my head the triple threat IC title and TLC matches were the obvious standouts. Nice matches that still hold up today. The 24/7 Hardcore match was entertaining despite the pin botch. Every other non-main event match was just an extended Raw match, and I hated that lame "McMahon In Every Corner" tagline. It was as silly as when Debra was Rock's manager in either late 2000 or early 2001.

stood up past midnight with school the next day expecting that Rock win and got a sHHHovel instead :scust:

went to sleep like :mjcry::mjcry::mjcry:

at least it led to the GOAT x GOAT pops a month later :wow:

You should have seen the predominately white crowd disgust at the ppv viewing live.

Mcmahon ruined it all in one night.
Then when people gave him their money again the next month.
Racist cac cracker still never let rock go over clean.
at the height of the company's draw built off of the rock in the wake of scsa injury.

fukk the wwe.

I think the plan for Show originally was to wrestle Taker as they were building an angle of Taker and Show splitting up as a tag team before before Taker went out for surgery.
