We were still a great defensive team under Phil. That roster was coming off 3 straight final appearances. Their legs were shot.

and they will continue to get more youthful over 82 games?. kobes legs was dying by march last season from a short season shyt imagine 82

Statement from the Black Mamba

Kobe Bryant
Tough day. I've seen coaches as well as friends come and go. No matter how many years I've been playing, it's still hard to deal with. I had a good relationship with Mike and I will continue to have one. I wish him and his family nothing but the best. I spoke with him today and thanked him for all of his hard work and sacrifice.

As a team, we must focus our energy on tonight's game. We must block out the weight of today's news and simply do our jobs to the best of our ability.

I'm not sure what direction we are heading in next. All I can do is focus on the here and now.

Stop...........

Even with him playing crazy fukking minutes Kobe looked significantly fresher last season than he did the previous season.

So far this season Kobe has been beasting (except that last game) on a bum foot.

One of the problems with Brown was that he was playing Kobe and Nash too much.

Brown played a bigger role in how our bench looked than anything. We got two guys who had good season's last year and suddenly they're not getting playing time or their productivity drops out of nowhere?

Nah, that shyt was on Brown. He refused to play Meeks for some unknown reason and kept playing Jamison out of position.

When Jamison was asked why the bench was struggling he said "We have no identity".....shyt like that is the coaches fault.

Dudes are simultaneously underrating and overrating Pau's value.

He's a HIGHLY skilled player, but he's also aging and has one of the biggest contracts in the league.

The only teams that would be willing to take him are teams that are right on the cusp of winning a championship and just need a big man...

If they don't make a move they will not win 45 games.

The current team is not built to win right now. The Lakers severely underestimated the talent level around the NBA.

The Heat started off 9-8. Even when they were losing every other game you could see the talent level was high enough to win those games.

The Lakers are 1-4 and they don't look good at all. They lack TALENT at the 3,2 and 1 positions and that is including Nash.

That's just it, at one point they were looking good. You could see they were still trying to figure out the offense but you'd see flashes of what things were supposed to be.

Initially all anybody was complaining about was the bench still being weak as fukk. shyt just progressively got worse, the players seemed frustrated and every complaint made was in regards to the offense or rotations.
