I haven't been following the nature of the complaining. I just know that my FiOS has:
- Olympic Soccer Channel that shows all matches
- Olympic Basketball channel that shows all basketball.
- NBC Sports Network shows various events from 3am to 8am, then again from 8am to 7pm
- MNBC does the same
- NBC does events 9am to 4pm
- CNBC does all boxing at 4pm, then a summary show at night
- Bravo has been showing Tennis matches
- Then there's the primetime stuff.
That's the everyday schedule in HD
I wouldn't want anymore coverage.
Are people complaining because they don't get every sport live in HD? Are these people that don't have cable? The coverage seems pretty damn good, especially if you like basketball, soccer, tennis or boxing. I've recorded every session so far and they seem to be covering just about everything. Not every athlete in every sport, but pretty close. I think they've shown every minute of stuff like rowing, dressage, Ping Pong, shooting, archery and swimming and diving. They haven't shown all of the beach volleyball apparently, but going through the pools, I believe they have shown all volleyball. They've shown most of handball too. Hate that they are leaving their relationship with Microsoft though, because they had a Media Center plugin in 08 that did every event, live or not.
This is right. The only thing I can legitimately complain about is the swimming, which always freezes up on me. But everything else is on point except for the fact that streams lag sometimes, you open more than 1 and it starts slowing down and freezing. But from a coverage standpoint ONLINE they have everything covered. I only have the TV on the tennis and soccer cause those are the sports I watch the most.. no complaints.
NBCSN - Soccer and USA Basketball
Bravo - Tennis
CNBC - Boxing
Then there's the olympic basketball and soccer channels in HD for those who have them.
MSNBC - no idea tbh, haven't watched that one.
NBC - Everything else
The only legitimate complaint is swimming and gymnastics aren't shown til the night.
Between fencing, judo, archery, etc, its almost impossible to manage between them on one channel. Maybe more channels showing these obscure sports? Sure.
Well, not everyone has Fios, therefore not all of us can watch these basketball and soccer channels that seem to be exclusive to you.
And they could hook us up with more offerings on the on-demand side. Some of us who have weird schedules would actually like to have the option of seeing more than just some US highlights without having to go to the computer, where, even there, things are not as extensive as they could be.
