yeah its a time delay and this is the age of social media. show live action on the cable network for the higher rated stuff on cable 24-7. replay the most popular/exciting during prime time or any live events that are popular on NBA. Rinse and repeat.

and I find myself watching a lot more of the primetime event now over some of the streaming

I just wish they wouldnt keep cutting to the studio for the nonsense stuff.

Nahhhh. Have you seen how other countries cover the olympics? The CBC MURDERS NBCs coverage it's not even close.

Yep. They have an exclusive deal to broadcast in the USA and only in the USA. It's the same for other countries.

BBC's coverage has pissed on NBC's coverage. Its better online too, but thats expected.

They have 24 channels dedicated to the olympics in the UK.


also, im rewatching the BBC's coverage of the opening ceremony. Its so much better when you watch the whole thing, unedited with no commercials

And outside of referring to Argentina as a colony, there has been no political commentary. Strictly about the athletes and facts about the country.

The problem i have is that if the Americans arent likely to medal in an event they dont fukk with it at all. Most of the time they dont even show the medal ceremonies unless we took gold. In the mens swimming relay we won, they cut away from the race so quickly after Phelps finished to show his mom you couldnt even tell who came in 3rd until minutes later when they showed the results screen.

I meant CTV....I'm used to CBC having Olympic coverage. I clicked on watch now on their site and it worked. Not sure how, but it did

Still the CBC's beijing coverage was on point as hell.

Honestly, I talk bad about ESPN, but they would've dedicated every person in the building to making sure folks could watch live events on every site they control as well as special Olympics Sportscenters showing the marquee stuff at normal times. They would've drowned this country in coverage and would've had the proper reporters in proper places not Andrea Kramer interviewing swimmers like they're Beli or something. It's 8 pm right now and NBC got synchronized swimming on and i'm stuck watching cause CTV must've just figured out how to block folks regionally

Yep... That's us, just like with soccer since we r no good we don't really rock with it over here. In the U.S if it ain't popular we don't like it and don't make no $$$$$

Apparently, the east coast gets better coverage than us on the west........I'm watching CNN waiting for syncronized swimming to get taken off the damn screen.....If tunnelbear worked with linux I'd be watching BBC's coverage all day every day

if possible, y'all should try lookin for the CTV Olympic app on iTunes. It plays live but it might not be available outside of Canada

CTV (In Canada) sh!ts on NBC coverage

In Canada, we have 3 networks showing various Olympics coverage (CTV, TSN, and Sportsnet)

But we also get NBC and 95% of American television networks

NBC doesn't show anything live and only do tape delays of events featuring American athletes which is stupid IMO

Knowing that Jamaica has and will continue to dominate track, it's going to be interesting to see NBC's coverage on track and field (when it starts friday)
