Would you rather have life in prison or death?

I dont really understand these pushes to get people off death row and have then do life instead. If you're in prison the rest of your life you are effectively dead. You can't move around, sleep, eat, engage in entrainment, have sex with women, etc when you want and live in a dark cell and can only interact with criminals on a daily basis. How is this any better than death?

Being locked up ain't for everybody. I've seen people fold because of random crazies screaming throughout the night. Guards being shady and wicked. The politics too. Food is horrible. Even worse if you get put in the hole. You'll lose track of time and your mind trying to find shyt to do. It ain't as easy as people make it out to be. Everyone cracks going through this shyt on the daily.

In fact, if I ever was caught committing a murder, I would make it a condition of me pleading guilty that I get the death penalty instead of a life sentence.
No reason to suffer mental or physical torture.
No wasting my families/friends time/money.
Let them mourn and move on with their lives.
