There is no such thing technically as "feline", its just like canine. Its just a term used to refers to a group of animals in the same family or subfamily. Its felinae and canidae. Felinae (feline) is any animal in the Felidae family. All animals in the felidae family are referred to as cats.
Even moreso, a mountain lion is not a big cat (panther) and while being in the same family as a house cat, is even in the same sub-family as a house cat. Im full of useless animal information breh
