Watching Prison Break s2 and that corrupt CO just got fired. He lied to his moms about having to take his personal days.

I've always wondered how I would be in the same situation and I honestly think I would lie too. My family have always been proud of and celebrated my achievements, which in some ways is a bit of a curse because you feel you've set the bar so high for yourself and never want to feel as though you are dissapointing them. So yeah, if I lost my job I definitely wouldn't tell anybody besides maybe my best friend and one of my brothers. I have enough saved to probably go two years (relatively) comfortable without any income so would definitely use that to buy time whilst I find another job.

"Loved ones" can be anybody in this sense.
