The most amazing survival rate was in the Bielski Brothers Jewish partisan force. Unlike other partisan units, the three Bielski Brothers took in the elderly, women, and children. Eventually, the Bielski partisans grew to over 1,200 people. Ninety-five percent of them survived.[45] Although the Bielskis fought hard, they decided that saving Jews was more important than killing Germans. Tuvia Bielski remarked, "I would rather save one old Jewish woman than kill ten German soldiers."[46] He did plenty of both. The Bielski partisan unit was the largest Jewish partisan force anywhere in Europe. On the day the Bielski unit was disbanded, it comprised 1,140 Jews, including 149 armed combatants.[47] Just in the period from the fall of 1943 to the summer of 1944, the Bielski fighters carried out 38 combat missions, destroying two locomotives, 23 train cars, 32 telegraph poles, and four bridges.[48] Over the course of the war, the Bielski unit killed 381 enemy fighters, as well as collaborators.[49]

also to note, that many who fought back and survived but ended up dying, ended up dying from famine and starvation. there wasn’t really a way to avoid that death because the third reich basically elimited food supplies.

Conclusion
The extent of the local variation in the survival rate of Jews during the Holocaust in
the Netherlands suggests that explanations of national differences in survival rates
cannot remain limited to the national level of analysis. Since local survival rates varied widely, some of the most common explanations of the low survival rate for the
Netherlands as a whole cannot be true. This is, for instance, the case with the almost
complete registration of the Jews in this country.
This article similarly casts doubt on the “deference-to-authority” hypothesis,
which holds that the Dutch bureaucracy and population by and large cooperated
with the occupiers out of obedience. Our research shows that the local degree of
obedience to authority is not correlated with the local Jewish survival rate. The idea
that the low survival rate of the Jews was the result of a lack of resistance on the part
of the Jews themselves, as well as on the part of the Gentiles, has to be revised too.
This notion is based on German figures pertaining to Jews arrested while they were
in hiding. These German figures are flawed; using them uncritically results in underestimation of the number of Jews who hid but in the end did not survive.
A likely candidate for the explanation of the high victimization rate in the
