To me, it seemed like they tried to use a system similar to the Fire Pro Wrestling games, but didnt pull it off.

and considering the roster is supposed to be based on the mid-'93 roster, why the Steiners but no Steve Austin, or (maybe) 2 Cold Scorpio?

I have to agree with that Superbrawl. shyt I still own that game.

I want to throw out WWF Steel Cage Challenge for the NES. The game had to let you and the computer basically cheat to make a match last long enough.

Attitude and Warzone were the shyt to me. My brother and I played the shyt out of both of 'em. Started our CAW wars which we'd carry onto every game since. I'm damn near 30 and live hundreds of miles away but anytime we meet up it's on like I'm 15 again.

Attitude and Warzone were NOT bad games. They weren't exactly great either, but they had several features at the time that made up for the average-ass gameplay (CAW, video rants, respectable commentary for that time, Attitude had entrances and create-an-arena, etc.)

Now Nitro and Thunder (which were basically the same game)......THOSE were straight garbage. Every wrestler had the same basic moves, particularly:

"Piledriver!"

"Powerbomb!"

"Vertical suplex!"

...with the exception of one or two 'signature' moves and a finisher

The commentary was repetitive. There were no real entrances - just a 5-second Turnertron clip. Game slowed down ridiculously when there were more than 2 wrestlers. The camera angle was dumb - instead of it being 'fixed', it spun around the two wrestlers in the ring so the view always had them facing each other. Even the cheats were dumb - it had retarded-ass hidden characters that weren't wrestlers (and in some cases, weren't even people). The secret arenas were crazy shyt like wrestling in a garden, hell, or that infamous swing-dancing arena ("COOL CAT BABEH!")

The ONLY thing good about those games were the rants and the video packages.

Pretty much every Acclaim developed wrestling game was asscheeks(I actually enjoyed ECW Anarchy Rulz though)

Attitude and Warzone are classics :childplease:
