Was a busser/line cook at a family restaurant for a year and a half

For the first year,GOAT job I’ve had..CACs would just straight up hand me $50 tips, walked out that joint with $300 one night(I was 16-17) at the time. Thought I was the biggest shyt ever, I had so much bread at one time(like $900 in cash) my mom asked me if I was slanging Plus I worked with some PAWGs

Well around the one year mark, the restaurant got sold to someone else. Biggest a$$hole I ever encountered while working, dude bytched at me cuz I clocked in two minutes late. Got mad cuz I have a lil kid a free drink. Quit about 3 months after the new management came in, so did a lot of folk

They had contracts with several hotels, kitchens, restaurants across town.

They would to pick up backs of wet/dirty towels, aprons, mop heads, etc ett. Trucks would come to the dock and unload these bags in the back of the building and they would sit for hours until someone sorted the towels, rags, aprons, uniforms etc, etc

So my first and last day. I go to open up one of the bags and that bytch is crawling with fukking maggots. And not the little ones, gigantic fukking maggots. It was the middle of summer so while I was bothered by it, just thought it was a one off and did my job.

So the next bag, same thing, and the next bag, same thing.

It was then I saw it was a pattern. I was looking around at the other workers and they wasn't really tripping on that shyt.

The smell was bad, it was hot as hell, I couldn't wipe the sweat off my head cause my hands were always dirty, I wore glasses and they kept falling in the dirty clothes piles, getting the garbage on them, and worst of all the maggots were fukking ridiculous.

The lady who gave me the job told me the job is not for the faint at heart, but me being me I was like I can do it.......till this day I can't even look her in the eye cause I walked off the bytch same day. They were only paying 10 an hour too.

Definetly Walmart that shyt had me coming into work mad everyday Managers treating you like shyt, annoying co-workers, people coming to work strung out, nikkas tryna fight each other and tons of other stuff that should never go on in a professional enviormernt that shyt was the hood forreal lol

Walmart: Pushing carts & cleaning women's restroom. That smell is permanent etched in my brain. I'm surprised I'm not on that Japanese robot wave after seeing how nasty these hoes are.

Did that too for like 8 months. That smell is period blood and god do I know what you are referring too. One time I went in the bathroom and some triphling ass young white girl had wrote on the wall in fukking period blood........

I didn't really clean the girls locker room to much, But I've done my fair share of janitorial work and that smell is always there, especially cleaning the tampon/maxi boxes.......

Also one time I went in the man's bathroom and saw the biggest pile of shyt I had ever seen in my life. It was coming out the toilet brehs. And it was solid. It was so much I had to spray it into the floor drain cause I wasn't about to touch shyt..................those were the days though........no kids, had money in my pocket and I was a single man.....

UPS by a long shot! the early morning schedules of 12am-4am during peak season was insane. The annoying managers who would get on you for misloads was so frustrating. I literally popped in my podcast every day and would hope the shift was over until the next day. Only lasted 3-4months until i got in the 6 cert 6 pawg lifestyle

I just spoke to a guy who was a cleaner in the restaurant i worked at during college. Told me he cleans a Chinese restaurant now, and the toilet won't flush so he has to scoop shyts out of there if customers/staff doodoo. Has to bag it up and throw it in their container, then after hours dump ( ) outside somewhere.

Fortunately, I've had some decent jobs other than working at Target distribution center.....12 hour days, only 3 days a week fortunately, but I suspect it wasn't much different than working UPS or Fedex warehouse. Empty on average 2 1/2 to 4 semi trailers each day. Toss them on a conveyor, stacking pallets, forklifting, scanning products in......all day, 2 half hour breaks.....Pay per hour was better on paper than a lot of places like that, but that's where they would play the game with you. Cutting hours here and there, saying they didn't have trailers to unload and send you home, and it probably evened out to be about what other warehouses were paying. Companies like this love to use a line about retirement to keep you working, but there is no way you can retire with these companies with how they pay and the way inflation will go up for the future. Buying their stock don't count on it.
