This whole plot point still makes no sense no matter how many times I watch it. First, Paulie should have NO authority for such an act. Second, shouldn't Adrian had been authorized as Rock's wife? She seemed more book smart than either Rock or her brother anyways. Third, Rocky could've just did some safe, fixed fights or commercials and be done with it.
The fact none happened or came up in III makes me assume Mickey was taking care of Rocky in more ways than we think.
Oh well, at least he's got a decent restaurant as a local legend.
