Gambling across the country is still NOT legal...people getting that twisted.
20 states already passed legislation waiting for the SCOTUS to approve it. Of course you will have places like Utah that will never allow it though.

SINCE I DON'T WANT MY COLI BREHS TO BE UNINFORMED -

This does not mean gambling can't be deemed illegal at all. It just means the Federal gov't can't deem it illegal. The individual state that you live in can decide whether to make it legal or not.

This will be an issue y'all will probably be voting on in the coming year(s).

Stay up to date on local elections, brehs. :salute:

Yea, breh.

The 10th Amendment explicitly states:

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Source

As simple as I can explain it -

The American citizen is a child in a big family. The parents? The United States Federal Government. The cool adult older brother? The State Government. Unless the Constitution explicitly brings up an issue to set a rule about, then the 10th Amendment allows the older brother to permit or deny the American citizen the ability to do it and the parents can't say shyt about it.

Gambling? No where in the Constitution is the issue of gambling brought up... so it's the older brother - the individual state - who can decide on laws about it, not the parent - federal gov't.

Prostitution, drug possession & selling? Those are never mentioned either so...

That's not what it means at all...the opinion is saying that it should be up to individual states to decide. The opinion isn't saying whether or not he believes sports gambling should be legal...just that it's not his decision to make.
I know.
What I'm saying is that liberal justices who didn't vote for it do not believe that it was for the states to decide.

Nothing really if you just focus on sports betting specifically. It's more about how slowly but surely morality is being tossed away for profit. Not even mad though but there is a pattern brewing here.

:stopitslime:Morality was tossed away long ago as soon as they decided to enslave Africans for profit to build America.
