Not many ppl have heard of this shythole, and that's a good thing. Literally NO opportunities for blacks. No jobs, besides fast food or cleaning houses or gay prostitution. Education is a JOKE, with basically no black schools or colleges in sight. ZERO black politicians or community leaders. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO THERE, EITHER. No entertainment unless the State Fair is happening, and the dating scene is dead on arrival. DO NOT MOVE THERE, BREHS.

Do some research on Homewood.

And at the same time nice ass suburbs that are mainly black.

I just wish there was more of them.

I grew up in the suburbs...one of three black families in my neighborhood.

Pittsburgh is a very segregated white city....no point in denying it.

lol, not true at all. i got a homie from the cincy area, there is a bubbling professional black presence there NOW. back in the day probably not. but of course its small.

East, its getting less and less in NY/DC areas but we still out there trying to make something happen. we still got a little bubbling in VA and No.Carolina as far as professional black presence goes. of course ATL. Texas...ehhhhh not really. unless we talking houston. cali its not a huge population of us outside of Northern cali(which we aint doing a lot in, we use to have a nice size professional black presence there. but thats dwindling as the baby boomers age out that were black baller status up north. L.A. we still making it happening, cause if you aint, you're flat a... broke. there is no inbetween for us in L.A. to be honest. you're either a professional or you're broke as hell. since everything is so expensive here. or you're a well paid entertainer(rapper/singer/movie star/ball player). and yep white folks are starting to take back the city too. and when they do, they start building it up and making it look nice. like where were these places to shop/eat, go see a movie before yall came? that cism is serious. developers is even on that cism nonsense.

I was in Pittsburgh around that time for college (late 90s to early to early 00's). I use to go to all those spots especially Laga and Hypervinyl.

Coming from NY I liked the change of pace and quiet but there's not much to do. I'd either be in Oakland, Squirrel Hill, or Shadyside. If there was a black middle class it would be a cool place to live.
