Universal language as in the universe? Or our world specifically?

And also, you do know that alot of our math is handed down from ancient civilizations right?

The universe. The wheel is old as fucc too, doesn't mean it's no good.

If aliens exist, and came to earth, the only way we'd be able to communicate (initially) is through demonstration of our understanding of mathematics. We'd be able to show them that we understand discrete values. We'd show them that we understand geometry and trigonometry. We'd show them that we know about pi, sine waves, etc.... All that shyt is the same no matter where you go in the universe, and all that shyt forms the basis of a LOT of what we take for granted today.

age proven:youthink:

Since your birth was videotaped that proves when you were born?

Years counted? :mjlol:

Try again, friend

And you dont think aliens would be more advanced in mathmatics? Oh and the reason I brought up the ancients, is because people dont believe the ancients when it comes to spirituality. But somehow they knew things that we didnt know without telescopes. Somehow they were able to build pyramids without technology that we cant even build today WITH techonology. :mjpls:

As well you didnt answer. The earth is practically a speck in the universe. So how are you who is a speck on a speck in the universe going to know what is the language of the entire universe? :what:

You really didnt answer breh. But continue bearing false witness if thats how you want to use your free will friend

I didn't answer because your original question was a :troll: question to begin with.

I believe in things that are demonstrable. Because science is the single greatest improvement in the quality of our life. It has a proven track record. :stopitslime:

There's a very good chance they'd have mathematics we wouldn't understand, but remember that it's all based on basic concepts. There's no math so advanced that it erases our understanding of geometry, for example. Because all mathematics is, is an extrapolation of the natural laws of the universe. For example, if you have two of something on earth, and you get two more of it, then you now have four of something. That is also true on whatever planet they come from. True, aliens wouldn't understand if I drew 2 + 2 because they have no reference for what the symbol '2' represents. That's why we'd probably use simple geometry to start. So if I drew a circle and then a line halfway through it, I've demonstrated that I understand the relationship between a circle's circumference and it's radius (pi). If they have circles where they come from (the single most basic shape in nature) and if they're advanced enough to get a spacecraft here, then they've undoubtedly discovered the same ratio, and voila, we now have a common understanding and we've identified ourselves as intelligent beings.
