What do you mean he isn't a republican? He's at CPAC and he sure does sound like a republican. Or is he one of those fake libertarians that always vote republican.

Either way, it's a damn shame. Just sad to watch. And he seems to be taking personal attacks at Obama.

Flat tax makes sense

No money wasted on lobbyists and tax compliance

Steady revenue stream

One part of the population not pit against another for paying fair tax share.

Im a little disappointed with you nikkas  Every criticism dude hurled at Obama was legitimate, and were also problems many of yall probably complained about during Bush's tenure. Stop running from the truth cause your boy is fukkin up :damn:

You just said that the flat tax makes sense because:

1) Steady Revenue stream. :beli: So you think it's a good idea to make individuals who cannot afford to pay taxes in many cases, pay the same as individuals who make lots of money and you think that this is a legitimate solution. Such a policy would only seek to harm society's most vulnerable. For one, for it to be feasible, it would have to occur at lower rates than currently exist for the most affluent because most of the country can't afford to have their taxes raised. So you're going to be reducing government revenue, which will mean more projects will go underfunded, and it will directly cut at the social welfare system from S.S., to school funding, medicare, etc. It would necessarily shift more money into the hands of the well-off and more money out of the hands of those that are worse off.

2) It ends class warfare. It's not one part of the population pitted against another to any significant degree. As I showed in my last thread I created in here, the vast majority of the country believes in progressive policies and many other ideals. The problem is, these ideas are overlooked because those with money dominate politics and influence policymakers the most. It is statistically proven. So you're now advocating for a tax system that would further exacerbate those cleavages.

If everyone is paying 15%, how is someone making $20K paying the same as someone making $200K?

And shyt is already underfunded. We have a damn near 50%/$1.7T deficit. W/all the loopholes and exceptions the govt never knows what its going to get, and always makes optimistic forecasts on how changes in tax policy will affect revenue. That would be a lot harder to do with a flat tax.

It is class warfare. Its a combination of forced subsidy and intentional misinformation. More than half the country has a negative FICA bill. I think a progressive tax system can work, but not when a shrinking segment of the population is getting shouldered with the bill. Progressive taxation doesn't mean 1% of the country pays everyone else's taxes... everyone has to pay in and there is a reasonable range of rates that everyone should fall between. Probama people are such hypocrites. You talk about the economy, they want to give him credit for turning things around while lowering expectations for him due to what he was given. Thats fine, but then don't say shyt is so bad we have to put the whole tax burden on a shrinking part of the population. You can't have it both ways.

Like I said before the income + wealth gap is a complicated problem. The rich have always paid a significantly bigger share of taxes whether you look at it by effective individual rates or actual money paid. The only place they "win" is with capital gains- and again, even that 13% is higher than the 0% paid by the median household. A flat tax on all income would change that. So right now the tax system is too progressive, and judging by the deficit + all the money wasted on tax prep it isn't working. And in any case, no matter how much Obama claims more "progressive" tax rates will turn things around for the income/wealth gap, they won't. You could give the middle class a check for their income.... but if their income stays flat, while housing/healthcare/education continue to skyrocket, eventually we will run into the same problems. Obama has framed things simple to buy votes for his party.

Dr. Ben Carson was great in the medical world, but this push to enter politics is just idiotic to me. He's just spewing the same ole Fox News-style Conservatism that, for some reason, riles the Conservative base, but won't work in practice. I honestly wish all these Libertarians disguised as Republicans (as if THEY weren't bad enough) would just get the fukk out the way!

He is another eager c00n sacrifice.

Thing is some of the GOP's ideas are good money. But u cant ignore or look past their continuing legacy of racism and general bigotry/fear-mongering. Dudes like Ben Carson dont feel comfy around their own people so they take solace in racists who encourage their self-hate. Quid pro c00n

I've since denounce Carson. Are you ready to denounce your gawd obama or will you continue swinging from his left nut sack all the way to the end? :ld:
Why denounce Carson? I think I would vote for him.:yeshrug:

One question though? Was he pro-Zimmerman? That's one of my litmus tests for what constitutes a kewn.

He's pro Darren Wilson if that gives you any insight here. He furthered the unproven "fractured orbital bone" narrative, while floating the whole "if blacks were just better people this kind of stuff wouldnt happen" bit.
