They have years and years and millennia over us. We are big and bad but we are still new on the World History Clock.
Plus they mutate on a whim sometimes. Hardly prehistoric. There are probably viruses hidden in ice sheets that are truly responsible for extinctions throughout the history of the planet and we blamed the shyt on meteors or oxygen levels in the ocean.
