My diet has been good for the past 2 weeks lol. For this whole month tho if I ate fast food that was the only meal I had for the whole day besides light protein n shyt.

I ate McDonald's yesterday, and felt like shyt 4 hours n hours, so yeah I'm good on that.

But even with eating healthy I still feel like I don't have that extra energy needed to lift more weight.

I sleep usually 7-9 hours.

breh I'm full of energy on low calories and only drinking water

it's just an adjustment mentally and diet-wise

if you need more energy for lifting heavy lets say....then just eat more

but don't consume any trash...food or drink.

Mostly protein and rice, sometimes vegetables. Sandwhiches.

Chicken, steak, shrimp, eggs, etc.

I eat 2-3 meals a day.

That is a broad term:

What are you eating
How much are you eating
When are you eating

All those things need to be evaluated relative to the way you train.

Bruh you want more energy to last through the workout out, just carb up. Have some Oatmeal an hour before you workout, or get some carb powder and put in your shake. Nothing beats carbs when it comes to energy when working out.

I lift heavy and train balls to the walls with lots of volume, I throw carb powder in my Shake and I never have problems.

Only you can answer:

Is it enough?
Is the meal timing optimal for your training?

I usually of the thinking that you should get that in order first before moving to pre-workouts. That especially if you don’t Lift early AM or have a overnight work schedule

yall tripping, if you're coming from the "dont consume chemicals" standpoint, i get it, but red bull has powered many of my workouts just as well as any preworkout (which is chemicals as well) :manny: if you need an energy kick (long day at work/hectic day in your personal life, etc that drained you) and aren't anti-"chemical" red bull is a good substitute

for me proper rest/recovery/sleep >>> right mental state >> food (i do a lot of fasted workouts) >> everything else as far as providing energy during my workouts

Cop a cold brew pitcher & filter. You can catch a quality joint on sale for a reasonable price, like the Zell or some shyt. The thing about cold brew is it doesn't require expensive coffee beans to make it palatable. Take it from someone who developed into a finicky coffee drinker. I have a bialetti for the stove and a legit espresso maker similar to the ones you see at coffee shops, milk frothing device attached and all that, bags of my favorite coffee beans. But I keep some cheap beans and my pitcher of cold brew on deck for workouts. The cold brewing process makes the coffee less acidic, so the flavor is smooth, plus it's chilled and goes down fast and easy. shyt pays for itself in no time.
