Working in a job where you have to deal with people all day is stressful

I had this exact same job back in 2003 working for Comcast. Not only was it second shift, but they split up my off days and I worked every weekend. This was by far the worst job I ever had due to the insufferable customers on the phone.

Tinley Park....and yes...worked every weekend. My entire life was a blur back then. Getting off at 9:30pm on a Friday night.

The calls tho. Nonstop complaining and bytching.

I can imagine. That's freaking with patients and their families who are customers also.

I work in healthcare, but corporate, so there's no patients in my building, but I have worked in the hospitals many a times.

Retail is tough, the company expects you to just shut up and take it no matter how wrong or out of line the customer is. At first I would wonder why some people would slack off or hide and generally not care about anything other than clocking in and out, but then I got it.

Yeah I work support now when you are dealing with someone who uses a Mac you ask them about the finder and they have no clue what you are talking about unless you describe what the finder is in fine detail . That's when you know it will be a long day.

I work for Garmin support so it's a lot of old people needing help updating and stuff like that. I am very knowledgeable on Windows just ok on Mac lol. I know enough though but when people have owned a Mac forever and don't know the basics it makes for a woatotal interaction and we no longer have access to team viewer
