Most black women in top jobs are competent. Remember they may have to deal with racism and misogyny. 3 sistas got overlooked in my contracts code at my command for 2 white men and 1 white woman. One sista trained a white man and of course they gave him the job.

Working for Republican white men can be a lot too. I have good raport with one I used to work for and he tells people I'm conscientious, have good work ethic, personable and always strive to do better.
He was a good engineering manager and I was working in support/budget/metrics for him...but I can tell he was good at his job.
Problem is he hated Obama and the Clinton's back during the election times. I just don't discuss politics at work.

Only issue i have with women in the workplace is sometimes they will make their emotional sensibilities a workplace issue.
Have to remind them that were aren't friends or family. just co-workers.
One time a co-worker who i barely talk to mother died. She found out at work and had an emotional outburst. Perfectly understandable,
But i later got an HR complaint for not making any effort to comfort her.
I told them in the meeting i don't know her like that and i never met her mother. plus my aunt died earlier that month i didn't bring it up to anyone except to request time off to attend her funeral. Stuff like that doesn't happen with male co-workers

last company i worked for, the owner was a divorced white woman with 2 kids AND she was was the WORST. This bytch would even record times that people were coming in the office (the door had a sensor)
