I don’t think I’m ready to see Joey Gallo strike out three times a game for a full season :mjlol:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
2 ways to build a contender in baseball.

stink and build through the draft/trade for top level prospects and eventually it will pay off..

or

buy the best players you can, and don't care about the luxury tax.

The Yankees are stuck somewhere in the middle.

They care too much about appeasing the fan base and generating revenue.

The Yankees need to suck for a while

Just saw that contract though. fukk it let them get bodied tbh :hubie:

Like @tremonthustler1 said just get Simmons. :hubie:
I’m despondent.

they ain’t gonna try to contend, so fukk it, go the other way and straight up go young.

they signed Jose Peraza today. Let him play SS til Volpe gets his shot.

The fact that they haven’t signed the guys available isn’t the worrisome aspect of this. It’s the fact that they’re not even inquiring. They’re so worried about agents using the Yankees to jack the price up that they’re not even meeting with players.

Forget SS. Pivot towards trading Gallo, Voit, Gio, and/or Gleyber.

He’s not horrible though for a stop gap until Volpe comes in. :manny:

Gold glover and he batted .271 last season.

Also can catch too which is valuable.
He’s Gleyber with speed.

his only plus is that he can play all over the infield and can defend.

if that’s where they go, it looks bad since Cashman was pinpointing SS as a major need.
