Male lions are just as capable in hunting but females lionesses have the advantage of numbers in prides (as human females do too in general society) and being lighter in weight to maintain chases/hunts longer.

What will put their ridiculous theories to the test is when this rickety sham of a society finally collapses and everything devolves to a point where civility is completely absent.

It’s actually not. Never made sense with them thinking that in the first place saying males don’t hunt considering males are the only ones ousted from the pride and have to survive on their own for years before they take over their own pride. They clearly had to hunt and do so successfully enough without the benefit of a pride like females did.

Scientist finally realized that its not just the females that hunt, male lions in the pride actually do hunt but aren’t observed doing so nearly as much because male lions hint almost exclusively at night due to their mane being much more visible in the daylight. Obviously film crews spend the vast majority of their observations during the day time.

Something so dumb was just ran with for decades before it was debunked. Both male and female lions hunt.

Sadly true when it comes to behavioral research. For decades it was all regressive bullshyt, now the pendulum has swung in the other direction.

Actual paleontology is still solid though.
