Brie Larson is the reason CM was boring. She has no charisma and she didn’t own the character. She couldn’t make the character come alive like RDJ, Evan’s, Hemsworth, Scarlett and even Benedict made those characters feel like stars even though they were B-list heroes.

hopefully the new director will bring that out of her and make her worth watching.

You drop the Carol from Endgame into Secret Invasion storyline it will pop. She was more comfortable in the character before she got a hold of that script lol

There's something to be said as to why movies like those work and why movies like the ones mentioned ITT don't. They aren't trying to force agendas, not masturbating at the idea of a woman beating up a man, not tasking themselves with the fate of little girls everywhere (who arent that invested in this stuff) and all that other yuppie thinkpiece inspired crap.

Just straight up action with a hint of sex appeal. Black Widow looks like it will take the crown if its on some espionage winter soldier shyt.

You brought up a good point. Those roles were characters that happen to be women. They probably could be played by a male or female (if tailored that way).

She had some charisma in Endgame. To me though Sam made Captain Marvel enjoyable. He brought her somewhat to life. I was hearing they want Tom Holland to be in CM2 for her to play off of. She needs somebody to fill that role because she's yet to make that character her own. I don't really fault her though cause it took Chris Hemsworth a fair bit to make his Thor work.

I'm guessing her and Chadwick were meant to lead their new Avengers team. His loss really leaves a gap. Thor constantly had others to play off of until they got it right with the writing team. Turning CM into a gag character like Hulk to me would be a bad move. This is Marvel, they can get CM right even with Brie in the role they just need to work on it a bit more. Give her the right script and character to play off of and I'm confident it will work.

Elektra was dope, they did the ninjas right as far as the disintegration shyt. They didn't do Kirigi right but most comic flicks was switchin shyt in those days so that's a non factor.

Never watched Catwoman, and Haven't watched WW84.
