Marriage is an ideal scenario because it legalizes commitment. It makes sure 2 parents are in the home and transitions resources smoothly if one person dies.

However, it doesn't make sense for a lot of people nowadays. A lot of women are hypergamous nowadays. And for real for real, always have been. Due to nature and necessity, men wanted to get with the best looking women and women want to have the best resources so they and their children can survive.

Well, the world really isn't as cold a place as it once was. Were kinda like victims of our own prosperity and socially we haven't adapted to it.

So men can travel all around the world and fukk strange puss. Women can travel all around the world and get strange dikk. But in most countries there's significantly more protections for women when these commitments go awry.
