I'm talking about some of the Christians in this thread, friend, not all Christians. Friends know that friends like me wouldn't say anything about all members of any group. That would be demonic, friend, as we both know.

I don't even see the real big deal here (not her death the thread). I mean how can @Willstyles say she should be able to do whatever she wants to do without judgement? It sounds good on the face but obviously if she went around calling us apes and monkeys we would judge her for that. If people want to judge her based on their own perception and prejudices that's cool with me. The fact remains that whether they admit it or not they are making a judgement subconsciously either way. I don't feel anyone should be able to do anything without judgement, that makes no sense.

I wouldn't have made fun of her on the internet and I'm not condoning it but when you make yourself a public figure, you have to expect that kind of backlash as inherent to publicity.

I agree, the backlash is to be expected, but that doesn't condone it, same way I expect racism in many situations but don't condone it. I think the choice/judgment issue you raise is complicated, but my first instinct here is just as a human being- someone who had prior mental issues and so was more vulnerable than most committed suicide because of the cruelty of strangers. The kind of dismissive attitudes here, calling her weak, deserving, or even making fun of her- that's disgusting to me on a basic human level.
