John Fetterman is just as progressive as Barnes, in just as purple a state as Barnes, and voters loved him. He beat the most well-funded candidate in history despite stroking out in the middle of the fukking race. Tammy Baldwin keeps winning easily as a progressive from the same state.
Fetterman does not code as progressive as Barnes. You know this. Including the infamous shotgun vs black man event.

Both have a charismatic, jolly demeanor that gives FDR vibes.
