It may have been a situation where a bunch of genetic freaks were in the league at the same time. Sort of like an All Madden team. After that generation passed there hasn't been another to sustain the momentum of Altletism. It could also be because some colleges are bushing their programs or drastically downscaling them. I heard that Spelman bushed their basketball team to put the money into fighting the freshmen 15 by increasing better food in the cafeteria.

I know people say they should lower the rim, but these girls have been playing on a 10ft rim all their life. They would have to adjust their trajectory because they wouldn’t be used to shooting on a lower rim. Also, even if they lower the rim to make more of them able to dunk, it still doesn’t mean the dunks would be impressive. They simply don’t have the body control.

They should use the Junior High Rim across the board from High school on. It's easier to adjust downward than upward., Most Playground rims are at the Junior high level not the NBA level.


I don't know why they don't have College girls guard the men, women aren't aggressive they don't even try to cross each other up, they play european ball. It's the same in Africa no dunking even when they can no real ball handling skills just pass and get to a spot and take the open set shot. No one wants to see that.

I remember I played ball with chicks who played on a local best in the city high school ball team. They beat us simply because they positioned themselves to take the shot and we didn't guard them we ran down the court dribbling and tiring ourselves out and they hit almost every shot they took. Two of those girls went to UCONN and one played in Isreal.

When the league started it was nice us basketball heads knew who the stars where but then something happened that hurt the league nobody wants to talk about.

1. When NBC decided not to renew the NBA TV contract it hurt the WNBA. WNBA was promoted pretty good at that time it was on Saturday or Sundays at noon it was a good lead in for the NBA afternoon games. Disney decides to put the WNBA on ESPN 2 where nobody can really see it unless you're a basketball fan.

2.The Houston Comets. How does a dynasty go under and why was it allowed to happen. Houston was one of the leagues most popular teams getting a 3 peat then like that they where gone. It made the league look like a joke.
