It's like when a new employee shows up and is a fast learner on the job. They start getting praise and newer staff that aren't learning as fast walk past you to talk to them and get their advice. As a veteran you feel disrespected even though the new worker hasn't confronted you or spoken ill of you. It feels like they're getting too big too fast and makes you wonder about how people see you.

Athletes tend to take shyt personally. The same attitude that allows them to be competitive, turns them into haters that can't stand to see a young person doing what they did and getting the attention they didn't get. The same resentment that fuels them to improve, turns them into some hatin-ass mf who cant just let someone else get some attention.

People were saying this about lebron for like 6 years straight.

Now nobody cares. He either made the baskets or he didn't. He either blocked the shots or he didn't. He either made the assists or he didn't. Everything else is just noise. I don't even like him as a person, but I can at least admit the mf knows how to do his job. He listened to his coaches and team mates, and he's had a good career.
