Man this case is a waste of tax payer money. Meg shoulda just let that shyt go, and told them not to go through with the case. Seems highly doubtful they're gonna get a conviction. I see why Tory has been so nonchalant about the situation. Only thing that makes him seem guilty though is his silence for weeks after the incident. That's the actions of a guilty person.
No, it is not the actions of a guilty person. He has to consider being in contempt of court. It can also cause issues if witnesses have not given their statements (collusion).

If you have good lawyers, they will advise you not to start running your mouth off. It can compromise the evidence you rely on in court. If you're a high profile individual, it can raise concerns of interfering with a fair trial.
There are also secondary considerations like overall perception. It is why if someone is being charged with rape, they will typically get a female lawyer. You don't want to create the perception that you're aggressor in the situation.
