With superpowers, why the HELL would anyone choose to become a superhero?

What type of powers though? If I was some Dr. Manhattan /Silver Surfer status but able to control my appearance I'd probably help out and in my down time explore the oceans and space as well. Come back to help out and other days just chill. While also being mindful of the government because it only be a matter of time before they try and track me. I'd be the goat hero on some Flash/Spider-Man/Superman shyt and get a statue and everything . Keys to the cityParadeWomen shouting me and wanting that D work Little black kids wanting to be like me and try to achieve their dreams I'd be on some Black Panther shyt making sure black communities around the world are straight and help out other areas to keep drama low. Though if I got annoyed in anyway I'd just chill out in a whole nother galaxy for a bit

I think, like many others, that it depends on the powers. If I had all of Supermans powers, I think it'd be incredibly hard not to help people in need. Not only because of the guilt you would succumb to but not using them to help would be a waste. Smallville portrayed that dilemma well.

If I had Aquamans powers, I probably wouldn't help shyt unless people were in danger of drowning from tsunamis or something
