Anyone else just trust Troy will make the right pick no matter where they land? There's a lot of PTSD from picking 7-12 but that would have mattered less if the idiots in charge knew how to evaluate talent the way Troy does. It's hard for me to complain about the wins when Grant, Cade and Bagley have been seemingly shut down and they win a game with the end of the bench playing the final 8/9 mins of a game.

Paolo is my guy but this isn't the draft to go mad about not getting #1, either.

Why are they still winning like this? Apparently their opponents wanna throw the games worse than them. They could use that bottom 3 finish to get the best odds. At least the last few games are probably hard.

There not trying to win. Just hard to outtank these G-league rosters. Can’t be mad that Killian and Livers are leading us to victories. Guys like Key, Edwards, Pickett, Mcgruder trying to hold on to their nba careers. Players don’t give damn about tanking. I’m curious what Shai Alexander gonna do next year if OKC keeps blatantly tank like they have been for two years and having him sit out.

Hopefully they stay in top 5 (Chet, Banchero, Jabari, Ivey, Sharpe). Wouldn’t cry about it though I’ll just take Mathurin, Duran, Griffin, or Williams. Not huge gaps in talent

Of course. If triple singles start to become the exception and not the norm then the perception of the player should change with the production. Tony Parker was a late 1st Rd pick and true Euro in a different time so he was obviously handled differently. Killian is getting plenty of opportunity to show what he has. And I didn't t think Greg Monroe was bad. I only mentioned him because @wire28 used him jokingly as a example for Pistons draft pick trauma. He was just a very low ceiling player, but not a bum by any means.

Oh, and Stanley Johnson just wasn't that good. In 6 or 7 years he hasn't improved in damn near any aspect of his game. He even direct time in Toronto where their player development is A1. He is what he would be. We all got fooled by the summer league play. It happens.
i mentioned greg more so for the fact that he's 31 and already flamed out the league once and is barely holding on. the other guys like the mayor and middleton were better examples perhaps of people who if given a chance could have produced. and i know the argument is there are tons of others like those mentioned like stanley for instance who were given plenty of chance and did nothing with it .

regardless im always the type to give somebody a chance. everybody develops different and you gotta take the covid mess into account for development as well

Troy himself basically said it’s more indicative on who is good at evaluating talent when they have to pick someone outside the top like two or three
He probably loves like ten players but knows depending on the pick he can only pick certain guys. Outside of the top three? Troy liable to snatch up someone nobody thought would be 4-7 and boom they become a star.

Pistons have Dal, Philly, and Mil left. Not sure how much they still have to play for but Pistons shouldn’t be favored in any of those games. Okc plays Por, Utah, LAL, and LAC who are locked into there playoff spot will probably be resting starters. So decent chance they stay at 3 especially if Cade continues to sit

All tree of them should have the petal to the metal for playoff positioning.
