Been saying it all year. These young boys gotta play to see what they got. People was ready to write him off and he had played like 40 games.
true

it was only a couple of us that was reasonable.

i dont care if it was killian or any body else. you gotta give these guys time before you can just write them off. thats why the mayor, middleton, etc left and played better cause they actually had a chance.

and that still isnt to say that he's gonna turn into an allstar. just that its unreasonable to write somebody off after less than a full nba season worth of games , practice, etc

i think we just so used to nikkas turning out like greg monroe that they scared to let nikkas have time

Ok, I think y'all may be exaggerating on the Killian thing. I don't fault anybody for thinking he wasn't something to hold on to with how bad he looked. I think it's more unreasonable to act like you don't understand how that sentiment came about. I never said to get rid of him since it doesn't make sense to get rid of an asset at it's lowest possible value, and if he came in with even an iota of Monroe's production no one would have anything to say. I agree you don't bail on guys super early, but when they look like they just don't belong I completely understand the outcrys. Even with his recent 2 weeks off decent play I wouldn't start blowing up the balloons for the victory parade. I need to see more. Let's hope this is a real corner he's turned.

He was definitely stinking up the joint. But Mighta as well let him play anyway. Cause playing saban lee or Cory Joseph instead wasn’t bout to do chit either.

Fair as long as he's afforded the luxury to have the eventual/every now and then bad game like anyone else :manny: Certain cats on here/coli get that stigma of damned if you, damned if you dont. Like its always an uphill battle in front of a council on some  stuff.

Somebody like Tony Parker took a couple of years to get right, but he had Pop. Coaching is key here. Its easy to see the potential from the outside looking in and visualize what you think a player should do. I try to look at from their perspective/give as much leeway as possible, especially in midst of a rebuild. Cats like Stan Johnson, Drummond and etc would have boded much better under a Casey to start their career. Greg Monroe wasn't even bad, he just peaked early/suffered from lack of explosiveness in my opinion, breh is skilled/fundamentally sound.

Of course. If triple singles start to become the exception and not the norm then the perception of the player should change with the production. Tony Parker was a late 1st Rd pick and true Euro in a different time so he was obviously handled differently. Killian is getting plenty of opportunity to show what he has. And I didn't t think Greg Monroe was bad. I only mentioned him because @wire28 used him jokingly as a example for Pistons draft pick trauma. He was just a very low ceiling player, but not a bum by any means.

Oh, and Stanley Johnson just wasn't that good. In 6 or 7 years he hasn't improved in damn near any aspect of his game. He even direct time in Toronto where their player development is A1. He is what he would be. We all got fooled by the summer league play. It happens.

Weirdest Pistons season I can remember. I just want Banchero in the draft. No project players. Just somebody I know that get us 20-25 pts, 10 rebounds.
