Optimism for a Kyrie Irving return, the latest on Ben Simmons trade talks and more NBA news and notes: Inside Pass

Jerami Grant
is one of the most sought-after players in a potential trade, with the Lakers and Trail Blazers among the teams pursuing the Pistons’ versatile forward, sources said. Grant will miss extended time with torn ligaments in his right thumb, but that is not expected to impact his trade market. Dozens of teams call the Detroit front office about Grant each week, and sources said the team is open to a possible deal.

Grant has one season remaining on his deal after this campaign and is eligible for a four-year extension worth up to $112 million in the offseason. Interested teams understand Grant will command most of his maximum salary in an extension next summer, a scenario similar to when the Nuggets made the trade for Magicforward Aaron Gordon with a significant interest to complete a subsequent extension when the sides were eligible to negotiate.

Lakers and Blazers have literally no one I would want. Simons, Nance, and a first :ld:. Should be able to get decent haul for Grant if their truly trying to trade him

After watching them yesterday offense looks less stagnant with Grant out the lineup... And Lee playing instead on Cojo. Please let this mean they stapling his ass to the bench.

I keep trying to tell dudes on here that the Pistons would be a fool not to move Grant when teams are willing to part with good assets for his services. This team isn't close to being a playoff team to lock him long term at $112 million dollars over 4 years.

pistons should move Grant and Killian. Get Caris Lavert

top 5 draft pick this summer

playoffs 2023

How forthcoming he was kinda caught me off guard given how Kelser and Long have cleaned up some terrible outings the past few years. Troy weaver needs to do his job next couple of months

Killian is garbage so don't know why they keeping him.

Cade puts up good numbers, he plays like a superstar, not a rookie.

Went to the game Sunday and saw first hand Killians jumper and i can only describe it as the common mans jumper. Everyone else had soft touch of the rim even when it didn’t go in but Killian’s shyt just looked different. Kinda like watching good shooters in your local gym. This shyt stands out shooting around some of the best in the world.

Think Killian is officially a bust at this point.
2 pt, 1 rb, 1ast, 1blk, 1 stl in 29 minutes

Cade took his PG duties from him. Can’t have a SG that’s terrified to shoot. His defense is good not great. Just complete liability on offense. Draft status is only reason Saben Lee is forced into GLeague. Lee is so much better than Killian

We’ve atleast seen Bey and Stewart play at higher level than they have displayed so far this year but Killian is still the worse G in NBA
