The kid already the best perimeter defender on the team, has shot the best from three since they stopped letting him do step back pull ups, and should be averaging at least 7 assists a game of guys hit open shots. I think he’s had a few games with like three or more steals and at least a block or two. He’s gonna keep getting better and hasn’t played even half a season of basketball still

these young players have to play to see what they are. Damn near everybody on the pistons roster is limited. Ain’t nobody better coming in better off the bench.

Do you feel it helps, hurt, or has no impact on Cade’s development to have two very limited offensive players on the court with him?

There is no optimal roster of players for him to develop against. This team is lacking in talent and there isn't some really nice offensive player to put next to him at the moment. With him learning how to play with these guys, once the roster upgrade happens it will be like a dirth of riches for him. Game by game he figuring it out and it's fun to see, even when the overall team fukking sucks.
