If you follow the team our gm and coach said it’s pretty much the same as last year in terms of goals. Nobody with rational sense though kelly o and Cade being our legit only additions would give us more than MAYBE five wins this season. Least I’d hope they didn’t think that

Ehhh you would hope that some of those young guys on the roster make some semblance of improvement in development which would effect the win total even if slightly. Some of those young dudes still look lost as hell out there.

The most improve guy is saddiq and even den he isn’t some world beater
We aren’t a play in team in the East and don’t need to be. Our goal has and always will be 2023 where they wanna see they young boys show something and we will have the most cap space outside of okc to try and build our team out. By den it’s put up or shut up time for Hayes, Stewart, and Bey. So far only people that will be here on the team might be Cade, Bey, Grant, Stewart, and MAYBE Hayes if he shows something this season.

They're years away from even being close to competing for play-in spot. A lot of tend to forget the fact that once you end up in the lottery, then it's hard to get out of it. Detroit isn't a free agent destination like that, so they're gonna have to depend on drafting and development for the time being. Use this season to see what fits around Cade and use the upcoming draft to get a big man if the odds fall in their favor.

I follow the team enough to know they battled against teams like the Nets last year and didn’t get ran out of the building like that. I expect teams as young as the Pistons to improve. Every other rebuilding team took some kind of step that we can see beside OKC. Everyone that’s struggling beside Hayes has shown they can be better, so we sure will see

I'm referring to FA players that will actually amount to difference makers and help push the team to the playoffs similar to the ATL blueprint where they brought in vets to help compliment the younger guys on the roster. It takes a few years for those young dudes to get ready enough for a play-in run. It's why I say that it's not that easy getting out of the lottery once you're in there as some teams are still there even with decent rosters.

Look at there schedule
Bulls twice
76ers
Hawks
Nets
They beat the only team they should have beat in Orlando

Hard to gauge with this kind of schedule. This could literally be 1-4 in east this year.

Biggest difference between this year and last is the shooting. Pistons miss Ellington and Wright. Bey has expanded his game but his 3pt shot has taken a step back this year so far. Grant is playing out of control. He’s a good player but he’s not that guy that should be iso chucking

I don’t discount the chance that Hayes is actively making them worse by being so bad on offense, when he’s out the lineup and they’re back to the previous progress then there ya go

If Hayes stays trash I just hope they give Cade all the opportunity to see if he can truly run point in NBA.

Im already on the Jaden Hardy bangwagon. Cade Hardy backcourt of future

But i am still skeptical if cade can play pg every night

We also battled the nets late in the season when they didn’t give too much of a fukk. Our one win came against them like in February I think.

We arguably have the toughest schedule in the first twenty games.

If the pistons wanna be extra cautious with the future of this organization then go head. This is not a race it’s a marathon.

for all any of us know the nicca ankle mighta got stiff after playing his first game. There is no need at all for him to be playing if he not 100%.

And he cool with me tipped my wife $100 when he was staying at the Marriott downtown. So really he bought me a bottle of tequila :win:
