Duren the youngest player in the league. I wouldn’t expect much from him his first couple years.
Don’t think it will take him that long actually to get minutes. Pistons more than likely want him in garbage man role. Hustle, rebound, block shots, picks, lobs. Super young big mens issues are typically body maturity but that’s clearly not issue for Duran. Most glaring problems he’ll have is foul trouble and the usual mental lapses of rookies. Wouldn’t even worry about developing his shot yet

The Samething the Celtics use timelord for and it took him 3 years to start contributing. I wouldn’t expect duran to Avg more than 10 minutes a game. It ain’t easy to just go to the nba and start contributing. Especially if You the youngest player in the league

Still not sure how I feel about after this trade. I still wanted the Pistons to sign Miles or especially Ayton in FA but :francis: that's the risk. What if Duren bust?
Yeah, even though I do trust the gawd Weaver (and Miles might still be available after next year:mjgrin:). To me it was a good time to go all in and get this going. Noel and Co are a solid presence but still, cats acting like Miles hasn't improved every year. Far from a fluke.

Williams also dropped in his draft because of concerns of his worth ethic and character. Duran doesn’t have anybof those red flags that Williams had. Pistons have also force fed all their top rookies heavy minutes. Killian has been worst pg in NBA for good stretch of his career so far. Can’t see Duran riding bench on this team

Killian played because it wasn’t nobody else to play. He had Saban lee behind him. Pistons have multiple players to play in the middle and they at a different place. The tank is over for the pistons.

I don’t know what Robert Williams red flags got to do with him taking a few years to develop. Go back a few years and see how many big men came straight in being contributors. They don’t come in just starting and playing. Especially at 19 years old.

I still don't get it why y'all think it's a good idea from NY trades?.

It doesn't make sense to keep them, Noel is injury prone and Burkes is a ok player!

@NormanConnors @eastside313 @djthegreat88 @wire28

do you think they should put Jalen Duren to the g league? From what I heard they plan to do that.

For some strange reason Sirius XM-NBA Channel was goin' off on ya'll for backing off the Ayton trade. They -Rick Kamala & Antonio Daniels- went off and made it sound like ya'll didn't have a plan and totally ignored the fact that ya'll just drafted Jaden Ivey & Duran. It was kind of strange segment if you ask me

When you get on a square you stand on that bytch tough, I'll give you that. That nikka Killian was definitely awful way more than he was serviceable. Not writing him totally off, but just calling it like it was. He played scared on offense until the last month of both seasons. This year that needs to be how he plays the whole year or I imagine Weaver will make other plans for him.

Im good with that as long as he gets a consistent opportunity. There is a place for him in the league whether with Detroit or not.

And as far as those squares, you wont find a cat more loyal than me:myman:

I respect that. And I don't care where he play, but if he stay playing scared it can't be in Detroit. I hope he come back hungry next season. If he develops that opens up a lot of options.
