With Always-On, I Think Its Safe To Say PS4 Won Next Gen Already

I sit in business meetings 3 days a week. What baffles my mind if all I am hearing is true about the new xbox and I cant believe somebody in their business meetings didn't smack who ever came up with these idea's.

They have already lost a certain micro segmentation of people do to charging for online, now there further alienating possible clients with the always on connected to internet. Hopefully if these rumor are true and they see the bad press generated already they would go back to the drawing board.

What this tells me is they have the wrong people that finalize choices made. This also tells me it someone who is looking at the bottom line number and not educated properly on the current client base.

Also with the current hive mind of the internet they have done a piss poor job putting out the fire. In the last 2 weeks alot of people should have lost their jobs.

PS4 Will Not Require An Always-Online Connection [UPDATE]

In an interview with Eurogamer at yesterday's big PS4 unveiling in New York, Sony's head of worldwide game studios, Shuhei Yoshida said, of PS4 gaming, "Oh yes, yes, you can go offline totally. Social is big for us, but we understand there are some people who are anti-social! So if you don't want to connect to anyone else, you can do that."

Please post the article for Microsoft's head of gaming stating that the next Xbox will require always online connectivity.

I doubt it. People, especially Americans, love being assraped. If the 360 should have the games the yolo crowd loves then it will be successful, always on or not.
