If you are a real head and listened to wu since 92-93 then it's obvious Ironman...newer fans who jumped on the ghost bandwagon at the turn on the century or who are around 20-25 in age would prefer SC

There's an element of truth to this and you're not the first to echo that sentiment. With that said, I wouldn't take it too far.

Ironman.

When that FISH beat comes on :wow:

running that instrumental now :wow:

Listened to both today and I'm going with Ironman off the strength of All That I Got Is You(powerful song:wow:)

Supreme Clientele was missing a song like that but otherwise, it's a perfect album

Both are classic albums

ironman was classic from day one

sc was a solid 4/5 or 4.5/5 when it dropped, i guess comparing it to ironman hurt it, but it grew overtime and i rate it very close to ironman now

SC might play better as an album IM has the more memorable moments.

Would say Ghost himself was at his absolute peak on Supreme Clientele and that album was truly one of a kind. Very slept on far as its impact, the sound of the production was the blueprint (:obama:) for that whole Roc, Kanye, Diplomats sound that dominated 2001-2004, bringing back those big soul samples at a time when beats were getting more computerized and keyboard driven.

But Ironman is a classic too. I know Ghost say he don't think of Ironman as a classic but also that he was in a dark place mentally and dealing with health problems. He still killed that album and the dynamic Rae and Cappadonna brought to the table gave it a ton of personality. The 70s movie vibe was dope. Classic track after classic track on there.

Cop out but it's a draw to me.

Any real head would know that IRONMAN is the correct choice. RZA was at his peak sonically and tracks like Soul Controller, Iron Maiden, Assassination Day and Box In Hand aren't even the popular joints from that album but are some the thoroughest tracks to come from the Wu catalogue.

See that’s the thing…

sonically I’d say true for everyone else except Ghost

he said himself he wasn’t there mentally , rushed all those rhymes out and had writer’s block most of the time

but got a lot of support which is why it sounds so good

his rhymes are dark
