With all the Ghost threads...Ironman vs Supreme Clientele

I did a search and didn't see a thread on this.

I kinda gotta side with 9th. I think Supreme Clientele is the better collection of songs for sure, and I listen to it more, but I like Ironman more as a Wu album that introduced Ghostface to the world. So maybe SC is actually the better album, but I picked Ironman. It's also the most underrated of the first Wu solos IMO, and for nostaglia reasons I feel like I have to pick it. I also really liked the theme of introducing the next guy. So the Purple Tape helped show more of Ghostface to the world, and Ironman helped show more of Cappadonna to the world.

I can't choose one, but I will say this, Ghost was in rare form on SC

Any real head would know that IRONMAN is the correct choice. RZA was at his peak sonically and tracks like Soul Controller, Iron Maiden, Assassination Day and Box In Hand aren't even the popular joints from that album but are some the thoroughest tracks to come from the Wu catalogue.

i don't have no real nostalgic pull to either one, i heard them both for the first time on the same day...both classic albums but...........
i voted for Supreme Clientele just off the strength that i can't remember ever just listening to random songs off of it themselves..i tend to always play the full album.

I copped both on the first day they dropped. On the RZA side, you have to go with Ironman. RZA was at his very best from '94-'96. But Ghost lyrically was at his best, to me, on Supreme. He was in the zone on that. This could easily be a tie.

SC was more innovative...from the soulful production to Ghostface's lyrics and flows

But I still went with Ironman...to me its right there with ob4cl, illmatic, the infamous. Its flawless from beginning to end

I thought about making tie as a poll choice, but I figured almost everyone would choose it. I'm with you. They're basically even to me.

Ironman by a longshot. Way more classic tracks. Faster Blade alone is better and Ghost doesn't even rap on that. Rza had a immaculate run with the first 5 albums
