Ya i use Arch for old laptops. Have the whole distro stripped down to nothin to save resources. Just gotta know the ins n outs cuz you can fukk up your shyt if you careless/clueless.

You dont even have to strip it these days. Arch + a tiling window manager and some commandline-fu will have that old ass laptop screen looking beautiful as fukk

It truly is the ultimate as far as customization goes. If it wasn’t for compatibility with some programs/games, i woulda gone full arch years ago. Just an all around beautiful distro that cant be matched. Maybe for new linux dudes tho mint or fedora or ubuntu the best to get your feet wet. But once you get the hang of things Arch is that bad motherfukker.

Come on over to the Linux world, we fully embrace the old chips and turn em brand new . My other machine with a Celeron Core Duo processor is blazing fast on ArchLinux and I use it on weekends to tinker with stuff. I've had it since 2014 and its still going

Windows 10 will be supported with security updates until 2025. I haven’t found a compelling reason to update. When 2025 comes around I’ll probably build a new rig with a stable, refined version of windows.
