Will we ever get to play this masterpiece on modern and future hardware without emulation?

Not nearly as much power. 2070 super and 10850h.

I still wanna try it tho lol.

I have a 3070 laptop with a 5900hx and last time I played MGS4 it ran it better than an actual PS3 but not constant 60 fps. The build in the video that the person is using is also a custom version of the emulator which I haven’t tried.

So I spent Friday playing with RPCS3 and I couldn’t get a steady frame rate for shyt. I thought I’d be able to get 1080p @ 30 fps. In the first area the frame rate kept bouncing from 15-40.

I want a beast desktop now :pachaha:

Did you use the regular build rpcs3 or did you use the custom build in the video? The custom build he’s using is modified strictly to play mgs4. Also you may have to play around with the settings.

I used both. The latest official build and the mgs4 build. My cpu (10875H) is probably just not strong enough.

You think there's a way to Steamdeck this?

Update:

I can get this to run 1080p 30-60 fps with the latest update.

I had to use throttle stop to undervolt/over clock cpu.

My only problem now is figuring out how to do this on battery as my laptop will only do it while connected to power, it throttles cpu otherwise. Charger causes battery to produce heat which raises temps of laptop.

Once CPU hits about 80 degrees throttle stop switches to another profile with lower cpu speeds
