UFC is a league.
MMA is the sport.
MMA is the sport.
Boxing will always reign supreme but not because it's easier for casuals to understand..I remember exactly 10 years ago, there were rumblings on forums and heated discussions at barber shops & basketball courts about UFC taking over boxing soon....people were gassed off their nice PPV numbers and their budding superstars. I won't lie, I even bought into the hype for second.
But now, there is a MAJOR rejuvenation in the boxing world, we've got potential superstars in EVERY division, PBC is bringing in new money, and we're seeing a major resurgence in the heavyweight division with Femi & Big Bomber, and if the fight comes to fruition and he holds his own, Joseph Parker could even establish himself as a major player.
Me personally? I think boxing will stay on top because it's easier for casuals to keep up, top athletes will box before MMA because there's no money, and, let's be honest, boxing is a part of America's fabric
most of the UFC stars have grappling, wrestling background...wrestling has always been more popular with white people..especially in the northeast/midwest.To me ufc has that hillbilly/ bro type vibe
If they can shake that
