NAh. The only reason cacs support MMA was because its was a mostly cac sport. If it ever became more lucrative for young athletic black men to become MMA stars rather than boxing stars then young blacks would flock to the sport and overtake it. Then you would see the decline of cacs supporting it. Cacs would go to some other sport until black people eventually took that over too. U see when Ron De'Rousey got slept by the brazilian woman, none of them cacs started proclaiming the brazilian the best female athlete ever. As minorities take over, the cacs just start doing something else.

ive been saying this since this forced-discussion began.

MMA is a white rebellion sport.

and yea, the analysts even credit silva as the goat, and they were crowning jones as the best out, but yet they were never the top draws.

UFC is beating boxing right now. I say "right now", because it doesnt mean boxing is dead.

Boxing is old world and really needs a new representative star. If there was a Tyson out right now, boxing would be king.

I thought they could at one point, but naw I was wrong. They had some nice pieces (Silva, GSP, Jones etc), but once they fell off, its never been the same for MMA.

It's like you can spend all this time and money building an MMA fighter to a superstar.............and then *BOOM*, one KO and their career is done.

And it's not like boxing where your superstars lose to other superstars. MMA superstars lose to journeymen.

And I think the UFC is doing some shytty management as well.

UFC exists so white men can try to prove they are physically superior to all other men (Asian, Latino, black etc.) Asians have been at the forefront of various martial arts, blacks dominate middleweight and heavyweight boxing and Latinos own in the smaller weight classes. White dudes couldn't win with their feet or their hands, so they embrace grappling. Of course now, Latinos and blacks are starting to dominate that as well.

No different than the NFL. 70% of the players are black but half of the top-10 jersey sellers are white...and two of the brehs on top of the list are biracial (Dak & Mahomes). It's why they hate the NBA. Lots of good Euro white players but the brehs run things and there's no way around it. In the NFL, they can take away the impact of mostly black defensive stars and use rule changes to encourage passing over running. Protect the QB's and make them more valuable by altering the rules so that great QB play is an absolute necessity but also make sure that the great QB's don't get hurt as much as they probably could. Guarantee if the QB position was 70% black but the RB position was 70% white, they'd adjust the rules to favor RB's instead of QBs.

Let me explain this as best as I possibly can...

UFC will always be a nice alternative to boxing but it could never overtake it. Boxing comes with a bunch of bs politics but nothing takes the place of how exhilarating it is to see two guys going toe to toe in the 10th round. UFC just moves at a different speed than boxing does. Since UFC is more likely to end in a knockdown you appreciate a knockout in boxing more so.

To me ufc has that hillbilly/ bro type vibe

If they can shake that
If they shake that they'll lose their market.

Their big draws are ALL white people. Their dominant ethnic champs never draw anywhere near on the level of their white champions.

They also have a spectacle issue.

MMA can be unbearably boring. The worst boxing match is far, far more entertaining than the worst MMA match. You can have entire minutes of guys standing against the cage manuevering for position.

Unlike Pride who fought against this as best they good with stringent activity rules and monetary fines for stalling, the UFC doesn't have much to safeguard against lulls in action other than Dana White complaining after a dud PPV encounter.
