Will the Rock at some point start really embracing his blackness?

I can comfortably say that he is the wrestling goat, but I haven't really fukked with him for the past couple of years now. He needs to switch it up.

Sometimes after sustained success these guys get woke

Hell the Rock is about to star as Black Adam....the name is Black!:ohhh:
black adam is an egyptian character though

he did embrace it with the nation of domination

if your talking in movies then he usually plays some racially ambiguous character, if your wanting him to play a black lead I doubt that would happen, he does seem more connected with his pacific islander side however.

Biracial people vary, some have a good balance of both sides of themselves, others may lean toward one of their cultures

It also varies in Hollywood, has he ever been handed a script where he plays a black lead? That's more on the casting director than The Rock.

I know biracials can lean white (and with leaning white, they act white, with prejudice and racism that full blooded white people do) but what exactly do you want him to do to embrace his blackness? Donate to a HBCU? Speak about racial injustices?

There will eventually come a time when it benefits him, and he'll be blackity black. Watch.

Also, I hate to be that guy, but most indigenous pacific islanders are what we in the USA would call "black" if we saw them on the street. American Samoa and Hawaii are somewhat whitewashed because of white American colonization, but if you start researching their pre-colonial kings/queens, you'll find brehs/brehettes. Places like Fiji, Melanesia (it's even in the name!), and papua new guinea, and many more Pacific islands are still very very "black". Melanated people are indigenous to the entire world, but they told us we only came from so-called Sub-Saharan Africa. Not to derail the thread, but I'm in a stream of consciousness mode this morning.

Repped.

I’m torn on this, cuz when he first came out Vince had him in the black wrestler clique. And he didn’t really blow up until they pushed the Samoan angle. So I can’t really fault him from learning from experience.

That's wrong. When the Rock debuted, he was Rocky Maivia. They pushed him as the grandson of High Chief Peter Maivia.

Whoa.... y’all wilding with them hot takes:mjlol:

For one, without knowing the details of why or if him and his pops really was beefing. Y’all shouldn’t jump that far out in there with these takes.

Also him and his father even if they had beef been tight for YEARS now as Rock even bought him a house some time back and like in the last 2 years a new truck.

Also he has severals times already “claimed” his blackness or did shyt to celebrate it. I don’t know what more y’all want for this dude to do:mjlol:

Or why he needs to justify himself to y’all specifically :mjlol:

We are not monolithic as people

exactly. dwayne and rocky long buried the axe. Dwayne frequently implies that he gained a better understanding of Rocky just by becoming a grown man himself.

anytime there’s static between blacks and certain other groups, you guys are always dikkriding the other side :scust:.
I post alot. So it should be hard to post an example of me doing this to back your claim. Also for further reference, black people that know they are God’s chosen people the bible speaks of dont all agree on how scriptures are interpreted and we not a monolithic when it comes to alot of things. So dont judge me off the ones you may have ran across.

Not just in this thread but for years I've read people claim that The Rock hates black people and is :mjpls: as the coli likes to phrase it.

Can someone provide evidence of The Rock hating black people? Are there actual examples of him saying something negative about black people or is this another case of insecure people creating their own false narrative over a biracial celebrity for daps?
