Hard to win with a 3-0 TO margin. Lamar had 2 of them. He played well enough to win AND he made it harder than it had to be. You cant do that in that playoffs. No excuses. He did ball on that last drive. Andrews obviously did him no favors. Also if you have Lamar and Derrick how are you running anything but an option when you gotta have 2?

I was wondering where the option was all game. Idk if it was the weather or what, but they were cooking TJ Watt with that just a wk ago

Harbaugh going for 2 so early was the reason they had to go for 2 on the last TD

He’s such a clown and a terrible coach
The more teams do this, the more I think it’s a shortsighted strategy that often comes back to bite teams. That 1 pt often ends up looming large.

It assumes that there will not be anymore scoring in the game and that you HAVE to tie it then and there.

It ignores all the other scoring permutations that can occur afterwards that can turn a 3 pt deficit to a 4 pt deficit, or in this case a 7 pt deficit into a 8 pt deficit.

Plenty of times it ends up being a 9 pt game, which is about the most cruel deficit you can have as a team coming from behind late.

All that being said, both those 2 pt tries should have been converted. There was a WR open in the middle on the first one and of course, Andrew’s drop on the second.

:jbhmm: Averaged 245 passing yards in the regular season. Had 254 yards tonight.

Completion % was 66.7% in the regular season. Was 72% tonight.

Had a 119.6 Passer Rating in the regular season and a 114.4 Rating tonight.

Yes, the fumble was abhorrent. The pick was unfortunate but he's going up against pros and poor weather conditions and even Tom Brady threw multiple interceptions in playoff games and Super Bowls and still battled back and ended up having great games. Do you expect him to be absolutely perfect? That's unrealistic no matter how historic his regular season was.

Even still, despite the bad pick that he threw tonight, he still finished the playoffs with a 122.6 Passer Rating and 73.9% Completion rate, even better than he was in the regular season.

Yes he let the team down early, but they were not out of it, and he did not let that deter him; he was let down by Andrews late.
Worthless point bringing up stats. They don't tell the whole story

He sabotaged them... they got back in the game when they stopped letting him throw. Full stop.

He did a good job on the final drive and Andrews let him down late, as you said, but everything else was worthless garbage :manny:

And it's every year with this dude.

And he has very poor energy. Dudes body language doesn't inspire his teammates
