Will Thanos (MCU) ever be topped as the GOAT comic book movie villain?

They tried Doom twice, failed both times...they need to move on to someone who hasn't been butchered.

Kingpin was solid, unfortunately we wont see a better one.

Magneto is the only saving grace, if done well, he could come close to Thanos, but threat wise, it'd have to be Phoenix, though that's looking terrible. House of M would be epic, but again, it requires a new Wolverine, Storm and Mystique.

Loses homeworld
Demented plan to make everything right
Has to kill someone they care for/love
Gains incredible strength from an external source

The buildup is what has people hype about Thanos, not really the portrayal. He doesn't really have quoteables. Killing his daughter was vicious. Killing half the universe was vicious, but it was all nerfed in the end.

I'm not talking about the Thanos that just laid down and died from Infinity War I'm talking about the version of Thanos that found out what happened to that guy and became unhinged by it. It was then that he was like I'm gonna stop playing around with these fools and just kill them. Untimely he failed but it was entertaining to see him become more of a true villain than a misguided extremist.
