You shoot til the threat no longer is a threat. That technically is stand your ground.

You don't just shoot once and say "I showed him"

You got a lot of people who are ignorant of gun and think its the responsibility of someone being attacked to respond in the manner best for the attacker and not the victim or that it only takes one shot bring someone down.
