Uh, TDKR was a serious stepback for Nolan breh...it was a disjointed mess storywise and the ending was pitiful. Luckily Bane saved 2/3 of the movie, but that 3rd act could not be saved.
but but but it's batman though :to:
lol i'll have to thoroughly check out his catalogue

:manny: it was great to me
batman is the realest fukkin dude amongst superheroes imo
even superman scared of batman:myman:

Just because Batman is the greatest to you doesn't mean some of his movies aren't average or terrible; Hell, Wolverine is easily the greatest hero of all time to me but I acknowledge that X-men origins Wolverine is a fukking clusterfukk that is unwatchable...

bane kept the movie afloat but the rest was straight garbage

build up a great villain and have him die without any glory

Seriously. How do you give him all that build, all that great dialogue, and then in the 3rd act reduce him to a lackey and have him killed off in such a quick meaningless way with no drama or anything? In fact, it was almost like an old school bond movie where he was killed and then dismissed with a quip

Batman Returns :wow:
The scene in Batman where he bursts thru the window in slo-mo:blessed:

Burton translated the comic book themes and blended them in reality arguably better than Nolan. Not that I blame Nolan; out of all of these "realistic" reboots (Transformers, Man of Steel, etc.) his is easily the best.
